Watch the basics of how to do proper form for crunches so you can apply it every time you do ab work.  Learn how to use your abdominal muscles to pull you into this exercise and reduce the amount of neck discomfort and neck and shoulder involvement. If your neck hurts from doing crunches, you may not be doing them in the most effective way for your body. Get more out of your ab work when you learn how to initiate the exercises with the muscles you want to target.
